2020 Acura MDX AWD V6-3.5L (J35Y5) Parking And Back-Up Sensor System Not Working
This MDX came in from a body shop after a rear-end collision damage repair, because the Parking and Back-Up Sensor System was not operating. Scanned the system and found DTC: B261C was present. Performed continuity on all circuits, after repairs and all, check out ok. Can hook up a scanner and communicate with the Parking and Back-up Sensor control module. When looking at PID's for rear sensors, it shows fault. The body shop had replaced the Left Rear Parking and Back-Up Sensor along with the sub-harness to the control unit.

Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit - Reset
Reset the parking and back-up sensor control unit after doing any of the following actions:
- When you replace the parking and back-up sensor.
- When you change the parking and back-up sensor mounting location from the original location.
NOTE: Before performing the resetting procedure, make sure that each the parking and back-up sensor is connected.
Resetting Procedure
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Press the parking and back-up sensor switch 10 times within 10 seconds. NOTE: Parking and back-up sensor switch indicator starts blinking.
- Turn the vehicle to the OFF(LOCK) mode.
- Press and hold the parking and back-up sensor switch.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Wait about 10 seconds. NOTE: When the resetting the parking and back-up sensor control unit is successful, the buzzer sounds for 2 seconds.
- Press the parking and back-up sensor switch.
- Make sure that the system works normally.
